To enhance operational capabilities of troops and logistic requirements of Northern Command, Army in collaboration with Industry Giants will host a three-day North Tech Symposium at Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) Jammu from September 11.An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that around 150 vendors will be taking part in North Tech Symposium 2023 from September 11 to 13 at IIT, Jammu.“Approximately 150 vendors are expected to participate in the event that would consist of seminar and exhibition,” he added. The official said that the military equipment display would be conducted on September 13.”North Tech Symposium 2023 is a technology showcase event which provides an efficacious platform for Army industry participation with intent to interface directly with end users and creating awareness about contemporary technologies and equipment that can be exploited to meet operational and logistic requirements of Northern Command,” he added.The official said that the event also facilitates structured approach for product evaluation, prioritization and acquisition besides providing viable and actionable inputs for formulation of procurement plans
